The tradition of the old flour mill and winemakers meets the modernity of the new winery. Two young winemakers, Martin and Thomas Philipps, have made it their goal to put a stop to the decline in the area on the central Rhine, to recultivate brownfield areas, to preserve existing vineyards and thus to contribute to the preservation of the cultural landscape. Predominantly Riesling is grown on 6.5 hectares on mainly Devon slate in the steep slopes of the Mittelrhein. The wines are characterized by minerality, bright acidity and a purity of fruit flavors.
